Public Bank North Bay is a community-rooted financial institution created to serve community , not profit. Unlike traditional banks that prioritize shareholder returns, we reinvest public funds directly into our local communities—supporting affordable housing, small businesses, climate-resilient infrastructure, and underserved communities. Our mission is rooted in equity, sustainability, and economic justice.
We use public tax dollars to create regenerative local impact. Instead of sending funds to Wall Street or out-of-state institutions, we invest them back into the North Bay—financing community-driven projects, expanding access to capital for marginalized communities, and funding initiatives that build long-term resilience and sustainability.
Everyone in the North Bay community can benefit, especially small business owners, nonprofit organizations, local governments, and historically underserved groups. We are committed to equitable access, with a focus on empowering communities of color and advancing economic opportunities for those traditionally left out of the financial system.
